The Pomfret Financial Company was formed in 1975 by Ed B. Peacock, Jr., CLU. Ed retired in 2014 and is succeeded by his son, Edwin B. Peacock III, CLU, who now serves as the company’s President.

We specialize in the custom design and administration of corporately‐sponsored employee and executive benefit programs for closely‐held private and public companies and not‐for‐profit organizations across the U.S.

We have team members onsite at our main office in Charlotte, as well as an external support network of specialists in business, tax, retirement, financial, and insurance planning.
Edwin B. Peacock III, CLU
Edwin’s career as a financial services professional began in the mortgage industry in 1992 in the Washington DC area. In 2000, he transitioned into the insurance and financial planning industry and in 2003 returned to his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), a graduate of Charlotte Country Day School, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The University of Georgia.
Edwin has a strong commitment to his community. He’s a 2007 Leadership Charlotte graduate. From 2007 to 2011, he was elected to the Charlotte City Council as an At‐Large Member. He was twice the Republican nominee for Mayor of Charlotte in 2013 and 2015.
Edwin’s service to his community continues through his involvement with organizations such as the Charlotte Rotary, Leading on Opportunity Council (Board), Blumenthal Performing Arts (Trustee), North Carolina Arts Council (Trustee), The Fletcher School (Trustee), Carolina’s Freedom Foundation (Board), Leadership Charlotte, Myers Park Presbyterian Church, Myers Park Trinity Little League (Assistant Coach), and NASCAR Hall of Fame (Advisory Board).
Edwin attributes his success to his family. “I’ve been so fortunate to have two incredible parents, an amazing wife, and the two most adorable children. God has truly blessed my life! I consider myself very lucky to have found such a richly rewarding career of helping others.”
DIRECTOR, CLIENT SERVICES
Kay Parish joined the team in 2005 and is responsible for ensuring smooth service delivery to the firm’s clients as well as managing the company’s day‐to‐day business affairs. Kay has an extensive background in administrative management and received a degree in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. Kay and her husband, Bryan, are natives of Tyler, Texas.

Through our independent relationship with Valmark Financial Group, a national, by‐invitation‐only resource consortium composed of a select group of successful, independent wealth and insurance planning firms, we have access to some of the top talent and global resources in our profession.
As a Member Firm, we work closely with an experienced support team with credentials spanning multiple financial disciplines—from legal, accounting, tax and financial advisory expertise to life insurance and retirement planning. This team of over 100 professionals serves as our back‐office support staff and includes:
PLANNING SPECIALISTS AND ADVANCED CASE ADVISORS, including a team of attorneys, accountants, MBAs, Certified Financial Planners, Chartered Life Underwriters, and Chartered Financial Consultants, many of whom are FINRA Registered Principals who provide independent assessment and analysis of recommended product sets.
AN UNDERWRITING ADVOCACY TEAM with several former insurance company underwriting vice presidents, directors and medical directors, a licensed physician, and a staff of case management, business processing and policy service specialists.
